Les has over 40 Years experience working in high end piano trade having served his apprenticeship with the oldest English piano manufacturer, John Broadwood & Sons and qualifying in piano servicing and construction at the then London College of Furniture.
When John Broadwood closed in 1984 Les moved to Steinway & Sons Park Royal service centre where he worked for the next 19 years on many top quality instruments to the very high Steinway standards.
Whilst working for Steinway in 1997 PianoDisc sent a technician from the USA to Steinway Park Royal to install a system for Elton John on his tour Piano. Impressed with this new technology Steinway selected Les to attend an intensive PianoDisc course in their Hamburg factory. Trained directly by PianoDisc’s three leading installers from the USA, Germany and Denmark Les has since maintained a close working relationship with PianoDisc Europe.
Working independently since 2003 as a certified Gold Partner with PianoDisc Europe, Les offers a very high level of service and support.
J&L Piano Services are pleased to install for leading UK manufacturers, well known piano dealers and suppliers both here and abroad.
PianoDisc Player and QuietTime units have been installed for hotels, theatres, schools and private homes.
Les’s son, David Cooper, has joined the family business in early 2013 and is proving a natural at the trade, especially in improving efficiency.
